Key Responsibilities

• Implement components of patient care plans and collect data related to treatments provided, collaborating with the supervising Physical Therapist to modify care as necessary
• Assist patients of all ages with stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
• Transport and assist patients moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area
• Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home therapy techniques
• Maintain a clean and organized physical therapy environment
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Missouri
• Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with patients across a broad age range, including geriatric populations
• Familiarity with skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility workflows and documentation
