About the Position

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required Travel experience required License: MD license required Certifications: ARRT-R ACLS BLS Fluoro permit required Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms IR experience required Description: The position is for an Interventional Radiology Technician. The technician will work in the IR/Cath Lab setting. The role requires scrubbing for interventional, vascular, and pain procedures. Proficiency in operating the C-arm, specifically the Philips Azurion and portable C-arm, is required. The procedural types include tunneled catheter placements, embolizations, drain placements, and PEG tube placements. Additional procedures involve epidural blocks and radiofrequency ablations. Vascular procedures such as angiograms, thrombectomies, and IVC filter placements are also included. The technician is required to assist in the IR/Cath Lab cases as assigned. No weekends or on-call duties are included in this position. Floating to other areas for cases is rarely required. Candidates must have strong skills in accurate monitoring and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. Experience with charting systems is also essential. The unit handles adult and geriatric patient populations. Working every other holiday is a requirement.
