Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (23:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Not specified Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA required Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience required Description: The Sterile Processing Tech position involves sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments. Shift consists of five 8-hour shifts from 11 PM to 7:30 AM. Holiday rotation is included, with no weekend requirements. The clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs. Experience in neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and gynecological cases is preferred. National certification in sterile processing is required. BLS certification is not required. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but will be subject to reduced rates. All requests for time off must be provided at the time of submission and will not be approved after the contract is signed. The facility retains the right to call off one shift every two weeks. During hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates must complete all compliance requirements in a timely manner prior to the start date.
