About the Position
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 1 Year of Experience Preferred License: Required licenses based on job requirements Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Y-90 Chemo delivery - GI Bleeds TPAVein sampling - Phase 2 Recovery - Experience with various radiology procedures Description: The position requires proficiency in interventional radiology techniques. First-time travelers are accepted. Prior experience in a relevant setting is preferred. The schedule consists of 4x10-hour day shifts. Call duty is required once a week overnight and every 5th or 6th weekend. The technician will operate within a range of patient diagnoses, including biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, and pulmonary conditions. Daily tasks will involve procedures such as adrenal angiography, angioplasty, chemoembolization, embolization, and stent placement. Documentation will be managed through an established electronic system. The technician will be responsible for maintaining a sterile field and setting up equipment. Interdisciplinary support is expected in providing quality patient care. This role requires interaction with a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates will need to submit references covering one year of work experience. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate competency in the skills listed for the role.
