About the Position
Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: NC or Compact license pending accepted for submission Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT or RCIS Must-Have: Interventional Radiology experience required; 90% of cases in IR Description: This position involves assisting the provider while performing diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for IR and Cath Lab procedures. Medication administration is performed by registered nurses only. Call requirement is a minimum of 7 call days per month with typical schedule of two call days per week for two weeks each month and one call weekend per month. The role may involve urgent and emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures. Callback time for STEMIs is 30 minutes. Team for call consists of three staff members, including at least one registered nurse. Weekend requirement is every third weekend. The patient age group includes adults and geriatrics. The patient diagnoses include vice implants such as PPM and ICD. Special procedures in this unit involve a combination lab with approximately 90% interventional radiology cases. The equipment used includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, and Canon labs, among others. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility. All candidates must comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements, with flu vaccination required unless there are medical or religious exemptions.
