About the Position

Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Rad Therapist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must be licensed as a Clienttion Therapist in New York Certifications: Must have ARRT certification Description: The radiation therapist will administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under the supervision of a Clienttion Oncologist. This is in accordance with state health guidelines. The radiation therapist must operate high voltage machinery safely and accurately. They should communicate with pertinent personnel when malfunctions occur. Patient welfare must always be a priority for the radiation therapist. They are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible and professional manner. A satisfactory completion of a training program in a Clienttion Therapy Technology program in an approved school is required. This must meet the requirements for registry by the ARRT. Licensure as a Clienttion Therapist by the State of Client is mandatory. The radiation therapist provides radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. They will accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record. Interpreting computerized treatment plans accurately is necessary. They must observe patients daily for reactions and report any adverse reactions immediately. The radiation therapist should facilitate complex problem solving regarding technical issues. Professional conduct essential to the well-being of the patient must be displayed. Adherence to radiation safety protocols is required.
