About the Position

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: South Carolina license required prior to start Certifications: ASCP or AMT Certification required Must-Have: Phlebotomy experience required Description: Fast-paced outpatient facility that requires autonomy and effective teamwork. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential. Flexibility is necessary to meet facility needs. Daily tasks include specimen collection, preparation, and transport. The job requires proper labeling, quality assurance, and reporting of test results. Knowledge of immunoassay, hormone testing, and hazardous materials is important. Phlebotomy skills are mandatory for this position. The working environment includes an oncology clinic laboratory. Travelers should be aware that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. This position does not require a radiation badge. Block schedule requests may be accommodated but require prior approval. RTO must be included at the time of submission and cannot be added later. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All time off requests must be accounted for during the submission process. Candidates with a pending state license will require proof of application or the ability to complete any necessary walk-through processes. Previous staff must have been separated from the organization for one year prior to returning as travelers. All candidates must ensure they complete pre-start compliance on time for the proposed start date.
