THE ROLE

Our client, a growing cardiovascular clinic in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a full-time permanent Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The successful candidate will perform advanced nuclear imaging procedures including SPECT and PET studies that are integral to the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiovascular and other medical conditions. This is an on-site, direct-hire role within a collaborative, physician-led clinical environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, administer, and monitor radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician supervision
  • Perform SPECT and PET imaging studies with emphasis on cardiac applications
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging to identify and evaluate cardiovascular and other medical conditions
  • Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and provide patient care throughout the imaging process
  • Calculate, measure, document, and administer radiopharmaceutical doses accurately
  • Perform routine quality control testing and maintain compliance with departmental, state, and federal regulations
  • Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with radiation safety standards
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation to support accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

  • Current certification and licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist NMTCB or ARRT-N
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, imaging protocols, and radiation safety practices
  • Experience performing nuclear imaging studies including SPECT imaging
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with PET imaging, particularly in cardiac applications
  • Previous experience in a cardiology practice, cardiovascular clinic, or outpatient healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with quality assurance programmes, accreditation standards, and imaging equipment maintenance
