About the Position
Job Title: Social Worker Profession: LMSW Specialty: Social Services Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must have a state license Certifications: Preferred LCSW, will utilize LMSW for needed position Must-Have: Must have a state license Description: Candidates must possess a valid license within the state. The unit consists of 22 beds with a patient-to-staff ratio of RN 8:1 and SW 10:1. The unit has two RNs and two technicians for every 12 or more patients. There are two social workers scheduled five days a week, with one social worker available on two of those days. The unit operates using a locked system for safety. Documentation is managed through a specified electronic health record system. Social workers are scheduled for 8-hour shifts during the week. Team members on the unit do not float to other areas. Patient experience protocols include treatment team discussions, assessments, and daily group sessions. There are no specific advanced skills required for the position. No procedures are performed on the unit, although staff may escort patients for external treatments. The dress code for social workers is business casual, while staff must wear designated colors for uniforms. The department promotes an exceptional work environment with supportive psych providers who are accessible. The team is recognized for its outstanding performance and contributions to volunteer services.
