Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Travel Contract

Garden City, Kansas

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy assistant services across Med/Surg and Outpatient settings
• Implement treatment plans established by supervising Physical Therapists for inpatient and outpatient populations
• Float between Med/Surg and Outpatient services as needed to meet facility demands
• Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately within the facility's EMR system (Epic)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient rehabilitation and recovery goals

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Kansas or ability to obtain prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a PTA
• Experience working in Med/Surg and/or Outpatient therapy settings
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Epic EMR
• Ability to float between units as required by facility needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel therapy assignment experience
• Familiarity with both inpatient Med/Surg and outpatient rehabilitation workflows
• Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into a new clinical environment
