About the Position

Job Title: Nuclear Med Technician Profession: Nuclear Med Technician Specialty: Nuclear Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 40 Hours Variable Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred; will accept a traveler with 1 year of experience. License: ME State license required Certifications: BLS, NMTCB or ARRT (NM) required, Dosimeter required Must-Have: Experience with DEXA scans, cardiac scans, stress rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, and PET CT procedures. Description: ASAP start needed. The traveler will perform PET CTs in the afternoon. Work schedule includes 4 ten-hour shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). The facility has 3 nuclear medicine rooms equipped with a gamma camera, stress room, and PET CT. Support on the unit includes a lead technician and two technicians per shift. There is an internal transport system and a radiologist onsite. Average number of patients seen per day is 8-10, but only 5 when performing PET CTs. No weekends and no call required. There are no holiday expectations. Technicians will rotate start times between 5:30 AM - 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM. Scrub color is any solid color that is professional or provided by the facility if needed.
