About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required; will accept first-time travelers with strong pediatric and NICU-focused skillset/experience. License: Must have an active license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: Must have experience with all age groups. Description: Candidates must have strong PICU/NICU experience. Candidates should be competent to care for adult patients in various settings. This role involves working in a mixed age level environment, including NICU and adult care. Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU experience is required. Pediatric PICU experience is essential. Experience in ER and Level 1 Trauma or Med/Surge intensive care units in adult care settings is necessary. Special equipment used includes Maquet Servo i, Draeger V500, jet ventilation, oscillation, and nitric oxide. The average daily census is 6-7 ventilated patients. Visits per day amount to approximately 40. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:12. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the specialty and in other units as needed. Floating may be required to other facilities within scope. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Holidays may be required as scheduled. Strong skills in adult critical care and aerosol setup are necessary. Involvement in transportation of patients between departments is included. Candidates must be knowledgeable in a variety of respiratory therapy competencies and procedures. Additional experience in trauma care is preferred. Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support are essential for excellent patient care.
