Job Title

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Long Term Care

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities
• Work to decrease aspiration risks through evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Implement communication treatment strategies to help residents better express themselves and understand others
• Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services within the facility
• Ensure all services are provided in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Speech Language Pathology experience
• Active Texas State SLP License (required at time of submission)
• Ability to work within a long-term care environment serving a resident population

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Familiarity with short-term rehabilitation programs and multi-disciplinary care teams
