About the Position
Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT (Physical Therapist) Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility within the past year. - Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination. - May be asked to precept, as needed by the unit. - Anticipated patient load includes evaluation and treatment. - Expectation is 1 completed evaluation per hour. - For daily treatments, expectation is 10 completed treatments in an 8-hour shift. - The primary area of focus is acute care with potential coverage in other areas as needed. - Staff support includes physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation aides. - Weekend requirements include 2 full weekends per month with compensatory days during the week; up to 3 additional weekends may be required in a 5-week month. - Holidays are alternated among staff. - Uniform required is maroon scrubs. - Common diagnoses include trauma, orthopedic, surgical, critical care, neurological, oncology, and general medical. - The patient population primarily consists of adults or older teenagers. Description: Unit notes indicate that submitted profiles will go directly to the unit for consideration. Candidates who have worked in the past year for facilities are not eligible for consideration. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to patient care and teamwork. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Staff are expected to follow all protocols and procedures effectively. Overall, the role demands strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
