About the Position
Job Title: Cardiovascular Tech Profession: Healthcare Specialty: Cardiovascular Technology Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Agency Staff Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in clinical electrophysiology or invasive cardiology procedures License: Required certifications include: - Radiologic Technologist (R) - ARR - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certifications: Certifications must be obtained within specified time frames upon hire. Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Cardiovascular Technologist Program, Radiology Technologist Program, or Bachelor's in Health Science Description: Assess hemodynamics and cardiac calculations. Operate equipment and document procedures. Manage patient preparation and education. Adhere to sterile technique and processing for images. Conduct electrical mapping and maintain knowledge of congenital, vascular, structural, cardiac, and electrophysiological procedures. Handle device pocket closures. Participate in ongoing process improvement activities and education. Prepare case tables with necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments for procedures. Create and maintain a sterile environment. Communicate and collaborate with patients and healthcare team members. Monitor patients undergoing invasive and interventional procedures. Capture and record hemodynamic and physiological waveforms. Perform calculations based on specialty requirements. Utilize advanced imaging and interventional tools as needed. Actively participate in safety initiatives. Complete all safety-related competencies and requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
