Key Responsibilities

  • Under immediate to general supervision, deliver entry-level specialized radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations across a variety of care settings.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures.
  • Utilize specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm all required elements are completed, documented, and that technical quality meets department protocols and applicable accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems, enter technical findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty.
  • Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification; certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, and radiologic technologies and terminology associated with the primary specialty.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, multi-task, and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience working with pediatric patient populations in a clinical imaging environment.
