About the Position
Job Title: Electrophysiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Electrophysiology Lab experience. License: South Carolina license required. Certifications: CCI RCIS or CCI RCES, ACLS, BLS. Must-Have: Proficient in scrubbing all EP cases, including LAAC procedures, Leadless PPM, Micropace stim, and Cardiolab EP. Description: Position available for an Electrophysiology Tech. The Electrophysiology Tech will work day shifts, 4 days a week, but hours may vary as procedures are completed. Daily caseload per tech is approximately 2-5 cases. This position does not require on-call or weekend work. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Electrophysiology Lab. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency. The candidate should have strong skills in various electrophysiological procedures and equipment setup. Candidates should be familiar with recognition and management of life-threatening arrhythmias, as well as performing EKG lead placement. Experience with isolation precautions and maintaining a sterile field is essential. Knowledge in using ultrasound and vascular closure systems will be beneficial. Candidates should be ready to accommodate block scheduling based on unit needs, pending management approval. Travelers should be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. All required documentation should be completed promptly to ensure compliance ahead of the proposed start date.
