Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments including exercise, massage, and gait and balance training under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist
• Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient needs in a long-term care setting
• Monitor and document patient progress throughout the course of treatment
• Report treatment results and patient updates to the supervising physical therapist

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PTA experience
• Active Texas state license or valid compact license
• Ability to work in a long-term care environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Familiarity with developing and following personalized patient care plans
