Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a travel assignment in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will support Occupational Therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions that help patients improve functional independence in daily living activities.

This role requires strong hands-on patient care skills and the ability to follow structured treatment plans in a fast-paced rehab environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans
Provide therapeutic exercises and functional training to patients
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Document patient progress and report changes to supervising OT
Educate patients on adaptive techniques and equipment use
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with facility safety and care standards

Requirements

Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license required
Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program required
Prior rehab or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to follow structured clinical treatment plans
Must comply with onboarding requirements
Must bring state or federally issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
