Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments including exercise, massage, and gait and balance training under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement therapeutic interventions as outlined in the patient's individualized care plan
• Monitor and document patient progress throughout the course of treatment
• Report treatment results and patient updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Deliver rehabilitative care within a long-term care setting, supporting patients through short and extended recovery stays

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PTA experience (required)
• Active Texas PTA license or valid compact state license accepted in Texas (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility environment
• Familiarity with creating and following personalized, goal-oriented care plans
