Every 3rd Weekend Required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist for a travel assignment in the Blood Bank department at a leading hospital in Lawrenceville, GA. The ideal candidate will have strong blood bank experience, laboratory testing expertise, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing and specimen analysis in accordance with laboratory standards and procedures
• Process and analyze blood bank specimens accurately and efficiently
• Maintain quality control standards and ensure accuracy of laboratory results
• Operate laboratory instruments and troubleshoot equipment as needed
• Document test results and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to support quality patient care
• Follow infection control, laboratory safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines
• Participate in blood bank and transfusion-related laboratory procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist experience required
• Strong Blood Bank experience required
• ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS certification required
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings preferred
• Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist candidates only
• Medical Lab Technicians (MLT) will not be considered
