About the Position
Job Title: Electrophysiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: WA RAD license or WA Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required Certifications: ARRT R for RAD license and RCIS/RCES for CIS license, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: First-timers accepted No weekend requirements No on-call requirements Floating within the hospital is required Description: The position is for an Electrophysiology Tech. The role requires monitoring patients undergoing coronary device implantation and diagnostic electrophysiology and ablation procedures. Skills needed include accurate monitoring and the ability to perform arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardioversion, conduction studies, and electrophysiology evaluation. Familiarity with the insertion and programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion, and maintaining a sterile field during procedures is necessary. Experience with biosense webster CARTO mapping and ablation, as well as Abbott precision mapping and ablation, is preferred. Cryo technology is used for some AFib ablations. Staff will collaborate with surgical support for lead extractions and other procedures. The department utilizes various advanced equipment, including GE CardioLab monitoring systems. Techs will scrub device implants and ablation procedures and must have essential pacing and stimulation experience. Transseptal skills and the ability to provide back room monitoring support for devices are advantageous. This position requires strong collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams.
