About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. Together, staff will provide care that meets the needs of the community and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive experience for both patients and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Provide training in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, and toileting
- Instruct patients in the safe and effective use of assistive and adaptive equipment
- Support motor, cognitive, and fine motor skill development
- Monitor patient progress and adjust activities within established treatment plans
- Document therapy sessions accurately and communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising OT
- Assist patients across the lifespan maintaining or improving independence at home, school, work, or in the community
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications
- Licensure: Associate degree from ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Clinical Fieldwork hours
- Passing of NBCOT
- State licensure/certification
- CE for Certification
- Certifications: BLS (AHA)
- Immunizations: Based on client need
- Experience required: Based on client need
- Schedule: Based on client need
