Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – Outpatient (Hybrid)
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – Rancho Bernardo)
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM PST

Weekly Pay: $1150-$1200/week 

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to join a dynamic healthcare team. This is a hybrid role requiring both remote work and occasional onsite presence in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego. The ideal candidate will have experience handling medication authorizations and working with GLP-1 weight loss medications, along with strong technical and communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Process medication prior authorizations efficiently
• Support outpatient pharmacy operations
• Handle GLP-1 and specialty medication workflows
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance standards
• Utilize systems such as Citrix Workspace for remote operations

Requirements

• Required Certifications: CPhT, TCH
• Experience with medication authorizations (mandatory)
• Experience with GLP-1 weight loss medications
• Minimum 1.5+ years of pharmacy technician experience
• Some travel experience required (less than 1 year acceptable)
• Must have own computer/laptop for remote work
• Reliable internet connection and power backup
• Ability to use Citrix Workspace
• Experience with EPIC or Cerner preferred

• Hybrid role – must report onsite as required
• Local candidates within California are accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
