About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1.5-2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT Must-Have: - Minimum Education Requirement: Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology. - Minimum License Requirement: Registered by the A.R.R.T., R.T.(R) is required. - WV Medical Imaging License is required. Description: The Cath Lab Technologist performs endovascular procedures on patients leading to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. The technologist monitors patient hemodynamic status and documents during procedures. They scrub during endovascular procedures to assist the physician. Maintains job and license requirements and attends mandatory in-services and staff meetings. Actively participates in self-education and completes all required competency assessments on time. Performs ACC requirements and other duties as assigned. The role requires skills in performing cardiac Cath lab procedures, including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, and more. Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiology is essential, including knowledge of electrophysiology and interventional radiology. The technologist must be familiar with equipment operation and maintenance, including PACS and various vascular procedures. Physical requirements include frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. The maximum lifting capacity is 50 lbs. Call is required: one weekday and one weekend every 4-6 weeks, including holidays. Candidates must possess a valid state license. Experience in a diagnostic cardiac Cath lab and interventional cardiac Cath lab is essential. Before starting, candidates must provide proof of required certifications.
