About the Position

CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 13.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience required License: GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submission Certifications: BLS, CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA accepted Must-Have: Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic experience Description: Position requires privileging process prior to start, approximately 120 days from time of signature. Candidate must complete privileging process prior to start. Schedule consists of Day shifts. Weekend coverage required only during call. On-call duty includes one day a week and one weekend approximately every four weeks, subject to departmental needs. Floating will be required within the facility and to the Main OR as needed. Candidates will be clinically reviewed to determine their clinical fit. If the clinical screen is passed, the candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed. No holiday time off requests will be accepted. Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant in time, there could be a pushback of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Agency requests for time off must follow specified guidelines. Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start. Candidates must allow for a clinical screen. Two supervisory references are highly preferred at the time of submission. Management reserves the right to make necessary adjustments at any time to support the unit's needs.
