About the Position

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8 (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of hospital-based experience preferred; first-timers must have 2 years of experience in the field License: Must have a valid license in hand or a pending application Certifications: ARRT N or NMTCB (CNMT); BLS required Must-Have: - Start and maintain Peripheral IV - Isolation Precautions - Storing, Handling, and Disposal of Radioactive Materials - Basic knowledge of nuclear medicine theory and techniques - Radiation safety practices - Good knowledge of specialized and complex Molecular Imaging procedures - Ability to work under stressful and emergent situations - Effective communication skills Description: Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech for a dynamic imaging department. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong technical skills. They will perform diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on safe practices. Knowledge of GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment is essential. The role involves conducting HIDA scans, bone scans, lung scans, and thyroid studies. Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Maintaining high standards of patient care and safety is crucial. Candidates should be prepared to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies in nuclear medicine. Effective communication with patients and team members is required for successful outcomes.
