About the Position
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technology Specialty: General Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum one year of experience preferred, first-time travelers with relevant experience will be considered License: Required Certifications: ARRT and BLS required Must-Have: Experience with General Interventional Radiology cases; ability to scrub and pan simultaneously Description: The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a comprehensive range of services. It is recognized for excellence in various patient care areas. This position involves working directly in Interventional Radiology. The department operates 24/7 and primarily treats adult patients. Typical procedures include kyphoplasty, central lines, and peripheral leg cases. The average patient volume is around 40-50 per day. The role requires familiarity with the relevant licensure and certifications. Preferred candidates will have experience charging and coding for procedures. Two coordinators and lead technologists will provide support on the unit. Technologists will work in pairs during procedures and take on-call shifts for evenings and weekends. On-call requirements include weekday shifts and a rotation for weekends. Travelers will only be required to take Neuro Call if they have specific experience. General IR call is an expectation for those without Neuro experience. Shift times and scheduling may be adapted based on departmental needs.
