About the Position

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Profession: Speech Language Pathologist Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Must have NYS licensure Certifications: Clinical certification in Speech Pathology or its equivalent Must-Have: Completion of clinical fellowship year Description: Speech Language Pathologist needed to start as soon as possible. Shift is from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Must work one weekend every other month. Looking for outpatient experience. Will be working inpatient on weekends. Qualifications include a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, NYS licensure, and clinical certification in Speech Pathology or its equivalent. Completion of clinical fellowship year is required. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance. Duties include administering evaluations and diagnosing speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders. Will establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing disorders. Responsible for scheduling patients for evaluations and treatments based on their needs. Will provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing. Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline and related departments. Prepare reports and communicate with referral sources and treatment agencies. Participate in community programs.
