About the Position

You will work with patients recovering from injury, illness, or chronic conditions, helping them maintain function, move better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active New York State PTA license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification required from AHA or ARC.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Experience treating people with disabilities and focusing on maintaining current function preferred.
  • Experience managing caseloads of approximately 9–10 patients per day preferred.
  • Experience using E Clinical Works EMR preferred.

Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift days: Monday through Friday.
  • Caseload: Approximately 9–10 patients per day.
  • Population: People with disabilities; primary goal is maintaining current function.
  • EMR: E Clinical Works.
  • Travel pattern: Clinician will typically work at one facility per day, with scheduled coverage across multiple sites in the region.
  • Regional schedule sample: One day per week in Marcy, Utica, Turin, and Rome; one to two days per week in Herkimer across nearby locations (drive time required between Herkimer sites).
