2007 was a tumultuous one for me. Started off in radio advertising, then decided I wanted to get to the next level. So I wound up on the umployment line for the next 6 months. Then I landed on the front doorsteps of a luxious office building in downtown Dallas. Platinum Select; where outrageous meets creativity. We were a rowdy bunch of beautiful folks passionate about staffing. We did something right. Eventually we were bought by the mighty AMN Healthcare, perhaps you heard of them, the biggest healthcare staffing company in the country.
A few years later, we were ultimately transitioned to their successful brand, Med Travelers. I have been making friends and finding people jobs since then. I love what I do and committed to providing a memorable experience for those who choose to travel with me.
Every year, AMN Healthcare selects 5 team members to send to Guatemala to help install water filters and build stoves. What an amazing form of community service. I am very fortunate to be chosen as one of the allustrious 5. Check out my submission video below.

Jamil is AHHH-MAZZZ-ING, seriously, amazing! I started traveling about a year and a half ago and while I have talked with many recruiters, Jamil, is the only one I have worked with because he is so amazing!! He is so honest and transparent and I feel that is a quality that is hard to find in a great recruiter. I am amazed by his ninja-fast email skills, really, he responds back to you within in minutes, maybe seconds, and if he doesn't know the answer to something, he always knows someone who does. I will sing the praises of Jamil for the rest of my traveling career and I'll definitely try to recruit him to my next permanent job just so I can keep working with him!! Jamil was my second recruiter, as I was originally contracted through a different company prior to AMN. He has made a WORLD of difference in terms of his ability to be responsive, attentive, and hard working! Jamil has great energy, is good for a laugh, but most of all, keeps me happily employed in great work situations. Having never done contract work; I landed in the best of all possible situations when I was assigned Jamil. He made this an unforgettable experience, in every way. I found Jamil to be vested in my career interests and goals as it was through Jamil's earnest efforts and support that I became a licensed social worker. With that, it advanced my opportunities which has now led to a permanent position from the most recent year and a half contract. Jamil is awesome! I've worked with other travel companies and recruiters in the past, thinking they were the best; that is until I switched to MedTravelers and got linked up with such an awesome recruiter.
