Yes. When I did my first Travel assignment, the facility asked me to extend my stay, which I did for another 13 weeks. Although they wanted me to stay longer after the extension, I declined. When I applied for a permanent position thousands of miles from my home, I had an advantage. I was not a 'flight risk' which was a real concern since they would be paying for me to move across the country. Plus the experience of working in different settings, different equipment, diverse communities and adapting to all these are a big plus when you are trying to sell yourself to a facility that may have many applicants vying for a desired location.
