Travel Special Procedures Tech - $2,334 per week in Austin, TX - Summary : * Specialized radiologic technologist assists physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient`s blood vessels and organs. * Reports to the Supervisor of the Unit and or Chief Technologist. Duties and Responsibilities: * Optimize use of radiation. * Assist patient to procedure room. * Advise on the provision of radiology equipment. * May assist in the following, Angioplasty, Biopsies, image-guided thermal ablation and other procedures in the radiology department. * Evaluate quality assurance performance. * Monitor performance. * Train staff and physicians in relevant aspects of radiation protections. * Helps physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient`s blood vessels and organs. * Observe patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Education & Experience Requirements: * Two year degree in Interventional Radiology. * One year of experience as Interventional Radiology Technician. * Current AHA BLS.
