BLS. ACLS within two years of hire. PALS within two years of hire. 3.Experience:A candidate with two to three (2-3) years critical care experience is preferred, this position is for an outpatient pulmonary practice with no inpatient responsibilities. We seek experience with outpatient clinic experience. Education Modules (will this be consistent for all similar skillset on unit or specific to this Position Request): EPIC Medical Record Experience is Required, Specific MaineHealth EPIC Experience is preferred. Unit Information: Number of Beds: N/A Patient Ratios: NA, Each Medical Staff sees approximately 15 to 20 patients a day in the office, we typically have 3 physicians in the office. Equipment: Oxygen Therapy all aspects of O2 delivery devices cannulas, masks, hoods, aerosols, according to established departmental policy/procedure. This includes order review, patient education. ? Rooming patients Oximetry ability to monitor patients by oximetry according to established guidelines/protocols. A thorough understanding of applications, limitations and patient assessment is necessary. ? Chart preparation or providers . ?Phone Triage ?6 minute walk tests Bronchodilator Therapy/CPT demonstrates the ability to deliver various bronchodilators/antibiotics/opiates via nebulizer according to departmental policy and within guidelines of scope of practice. Included is order review, documentation, and ability to evaluate efficacy of therapy. Ability to tailor CPT to pathology and condition of patient. ?Patient Education, medications, CPAP/BiPAP, and but not limited to routine respiratory therapy hygiene. . ? Sputum Induction demonstrates the ability to gather a deep bronchial specimen, document procedure and deliver a properly contained and labeled specimen to the lab according to hospital policy. ? Code 99 Response ability to function under extreme pressure in an arrest situation. Expected is the ability to initiate basic CPR, maintain an airway, ventilate (bag/mask mouth/mask) and do external compressions. Assisting the intubation, securing endotracheal tube and suctioning is part of task. ? CPAP/BIPAP demonstrated ability to set-up equipment, fit mask pillows and nasal masks, check orders and document settings, according to established guidelines and procedures. ? Spirometry demonstrated ability to perform simple bedside or laboratory spirometry including use of bronchodilators according to established procedures. ?
