Travel PTA in Mountain Home, AR - ***Magnet Recognition; Voted Best Places to Work in AR, four years in a row; Strong Focus on Workplace Culture!*** INPATIENT ACUTE CARE PTA POSITION SUMMARY:  Promotes and maintains each patient’s health by providing physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of and degree holder from a Physical Therapist Assistant Education Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education Preferred experience: 12 to 18 months related experience, excluding clinical affiliations required to complete a degree Certifications: Current Arkansas PTA license in good standing required Current CPR certification Preferred Education: Associate Degree                                                                                                                     Primary Source Verification: Original Transcripts and Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy   Safety Sensitive Designation: This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.   Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following:  Must have the ability to: communicate effectively, orally and in writing; focus with attention to detail, solve problems and make decisions; show compassion to those in pain/functional loss; handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Must be able to stand and walk, and bend, stoop and twist, push, pull and occasionally lift up to 250lbs for up to 8 hours each day. Requires repetitive hand movements. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and PC mouse to utilize computer software for patient care documentation.   Work Environment Patient care setting: within a hospital environment and in an outpatient setting. There is potential risk for exposure to communicable diseases and blood or other body fluids. Note: candidates who have worked for Baxter Regional within the last five years or who live within a 50 mile radius of Mountain Home, Arkansas will not be considered
