Travel CT Tech - $35 per hour in Louisville, KY - Position: Cytotechnologist Job Description: * Maintains daily record of slides screened/hours worked at laboratory and slides screened/hours worked at any other outside employer per procedure manual. * Maintains open communication with department supervisor, pathologist, and co-workers to ensure optimal operation of the department. * Provides technical consultation for Cyto-processing technicians, assists in prep work when directed by Supervisor. * Maintains high level of proficiency and current knowledge through continuing education. * Complies with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies. * Supports corporate policies and objectives, complies with quality assurance, safety, and environmental and infection control protocols. * Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor Qualifications: * At least 2 years of recent Cyto Tech experience required * Cerner or EPIC experience preferred * High School Diploma/GED * At least one (1) of the following is: Required * Bachelor of Science degree in cytotechnology, plus graduation from a school of cytotechnology accredited school. * Bachelor of Science degree in a biological science, plus graduation from a school of cytotechnology accredited school. * American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Certification * Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
