The majority of work will focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long-term care and home health care environments. Demonstrates level of treatment associated with their specialty provided to their clients/patients. Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization. Will be expected to provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership. Performs other related duties as requested by manager. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of own area. Identifies common patient safety risks within the organization and how they can be avoided. Analyzes and records the therapeutic progress of clients/patients; recommends necessary adjustments. Applies physical therapy tools and technologies according to a client/patient's individual case. Conducts the activities required in each step of the physical therapy process. Demonstrates knowledge of development and delivery of patient education for diverse audiences.
