Travel Surg Tech - $1,760 per week in Mason City, IA - Summary: * Certified Surgical Tech work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. * Reports to Unit Supervisor and or RN in Charge. Duties and Responsibilities: * Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. * Understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. * Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. * Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure. * Scrubs, gown up and glove up. * Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure. * Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed. * Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants. * Helps in draping sterile field. * Passes instruments, etc., to surgeon during procedure. * Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure. * Prepares sterile dressings. * Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization. * Assists other members of team with terminal cleaning of room. * Assists in prepping room for the next patient. Education & Experience Requirements: * Surgical technologists graduate from surgical technology programs accredited through ARC/STSA and or institutions accredited by agencies recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE). * Current and active certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist,Minimum of one year surgical tech experiences. Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients. * Produces high quality diagnostic images. * Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists. * Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.). Minimum Job Requirements: * High School Diplma or Associate`s Degree. * Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required. State Liense as required. * AHA BLS certification required. * 1-2 years PET imaging experience or 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred. Travel Ultrasound - $3,380 per week in Sheldon, IA - Request ID: 208423 This location is looking for someone to cover 40 hours/week. Can be flexible about how they wanted to work those hours... if they would like to work 5–8-hour days or 4–10-hour days. Will have limited access to a radiologist, so would require them to be here on Tuesday mornings and Friday afternoons during those radiologist hours for breast ultrasounds.  1 general ultrasound technologist on staff to cover all of our general ultrasound needs. This includes all outpatient, inpatient, and ER studies within normal business hours. We do not require call coverage, but we do reserve the option to call the technologist and ask if they are available/willing to come in to do emergent studies after hours for call in pay.  The technologist must be certified with the ARDMS and have a board registry in either Abdomen or OB/GYN.
