Pioneer Healthcare Services is looking for an experienced Outpatient OP Physical Therapy Assistant PTA to join our team and provide therapy and rehabilitation services to patients in our physical therapy facility for a travel assignment. The ideal traveler is a compassionate healer who cares about their patients and is committed to helping them recover their independence and mobility. We're looking for someone with experience working with a wide range of patient injuries and age groups, who is always ready to learn new techniques to further patient care. Outpatient OP Physical Therapy Assistant PTA will be responsible for coordinating with any healthcare professionals who are working with their patients and referring patients to specialists when appropriate.
Qualifications of an Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant PTA: Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy services according to the patient's individualized plan of care Assist in the implementation of appropriate treatment plans and carry out related programs and activities Instruct patients and families in appropriate care and use of braces, crutches, canes, prosthetic devices, and wheelchairs Report any changes in the patient's condition to the Physical Therapist Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Physical Therapist Documentation is completed in a timely, complete, legible, concise and accurate manner Qualifications of an Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant PTA: Physical Therapy Assistant PTA Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of work assignment Minimum of one year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant PTA preferred, although new grads are encouraged to apply
