Candidates must hold current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician. In addition to being able to perform the essential duties of a sterile processing technician related to decontamination and sterilization of equipment and instruments, this individual will also be responsible for training and validating competency of staff, as well as direct observation of staff to ensure that Instructions for Use (IFU s) and workflow processes are followed accurately. This position requires at least at least 2 years of experience as an SPT and prior management experience in a hospital setting. The SPT Supervisor reports to the Surgical Servicers Manager and Director of Nursing.Qualifications: At all times, the employee shall possess the following qualifications set forth below.Education/Training: A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
