CT/Rad Tech needed ASAP May need to float to the Hospital ED if needed IDEAL CANDIDATES: Multi-Modality Techs that do both CT & X-Ray Type of equipment GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, Medrad Injectors EMR: Cerner Rad Net, Phillips PAC’s Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ARRT (R)(CT) Team player that can also work alone. Self-motivated individual REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: ARRT (R)(CT) Procedures performed on unit: X-Ray & CT exams Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. GE experience, Invasive CT, Cardiac, Venipuncture List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Neuro, MSK, body imaging, Invasive Cardiac imaging Pediatric imaging Best personality Fit: Team player that can also work independently. Self-motivated individual Scrub Color/Attire - Black Scrubs

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Radiologic Technicians (Rad Tech) select proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis and adjust the radiographic controls, such as kilovoltage and milliamperage, to prescribed specifications for proper timing of exposure.  The Rad Tech reviews and evaluates developed x-rays, videotapes, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Rad Tech job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 

• Rad Techs use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations to ensure the safety of patients and perform radiographic procedures for patients in surgery.   
• Collect X-rays of patients’ chest, limbs, or other parts of the body as requested by physicians   
• Administer contrast media to patients for gastrointestinal and other special studies  
• Monitor patients’ conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal signs to the physician
