IR Tech travel Radiology needed in Tamarac, Florida

Summary:

  • Specialized radiologic technologist assists physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient`s blood vessels and organs.
  • Reports to the Supervisor of the Unit and or Chief Technologist.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize use of radiation.
  • Assist patient to procedure room.
  • Advise on the provision of radiology equipment.
  • May assist in the following, Angioplasty, Biopsies, image-guided thermal ablation and other procedures in the radiology department.
  • Evaluate quality assurance performance.
  • Monitor performance.
  • Train staff and physicians in relevant aspects of radiation protections.
  • Helps physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient`s blood vessels and organs.
  • Observe patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Two year degree in Interventional Radiology.
  • One year of experience as Interventional Radiology Technician.
  • Current AHA BLS.
