Mammography Technologist (M) - Acute Care
Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Mammography Technologist with Acute Care experience to work at an excellent healthcare facility in San Francisco, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your mammography skills while advancing your career as a mammographer. The job will entail acquiring diagnostic images of the breast using specialized x-ray equipment. You care about patients and do your best to make them feel comfortable during the procedure. You will prepare and position patients for mammograms, operate the medical imaging equipment, and ensure the picture quality of the images.
Job Responsibilities:
- Explain the procedure to patients, and properly position them to obtain the best image for the physician.
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate sophisticated medical imaging equipment that uses low-level radiation to produce detailed images of the breast.
- Provide empathetic and professional care to make patients feel more comfortable and assured.
- Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Licensed by the California Radiologic Health Branch - Certificate and
Fluoroscopy Certificate - Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- Current CPR/ BLS certification
- 2 years of experience required within the last 5 years
