Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NM) - Acute Care
NM Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Nuclear Medicine Technologist with Acute Care experience to work at an excellent healthcare facility in Tacoma, WA. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your nuclear medicine skills while advancing your career as an NM. The job entails preparing and administering small doses of radioactive drugs to patients, then use diagnostic imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the body. You care about patients and want to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Put patients at ease, obtain medical histories, describe procedures, and answer any questions.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitoring the patient’s physical condition during the course of the procedure.
- Process data and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology.
- Provide images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
- Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Current CPR/ BLS certification
- 2 years of experience required within the last 5 years
