The Radiologic Tech performs a wide variety of imaging exams. Some Rad Tech roles will include rotations in or be exclusively in Bone Mineral Density (BMD). The incumbent works under the supervision of the Radiology Manager or Supervisor. The Rad Tech uses a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers. The incumbent must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archive system. The Rad Tech may be assigned to work in a variety of locations, including a level 1 trauma center and/or critical care areas and may assist other radiology modalities and/or clinical services per operational needs. Rad Tech must have knowledge to make quick and highly technical decisions in order to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology. Incumbent must be able to resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment. Tech performs exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups and performs patient assessment within the scope of practice. Must have 2+ years of clinical experience, prior traveling experience preferred. Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only). COVID VACCINE REQUIRED. Location: Madison, WI- UW Health University Hospital - 50 mile radius rule. For parking, permit is required by UW Transportation

Required Qualifications
Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology, ARRT and valid WI Radiological License-ARRT (R) (VI) required. BLS/BCLS required. COVID VACCINE REQUIRED.

Preferred Qualifications
*Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
