Job Description

  • Obtains vital signs and performs routine patient intake, documenting appropriately
  • Directs patient flow. Assists other staff in need of assistance to maintain patient flow
  • Performs and documents basic patient history, treatments and administered mediations appropriately
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the provider following PCC policies and procedures
  • Maintains accurate medical records and reports to the nurse any pertinent information regarding the patients condition and care
  • Keeps providers informed of changes in assignments or patient flow that will affect working conditions
  • Performs laboratory and diagnostic tests as ordered by the provider
  • Ensures exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and materials. Orders medical supplies under supervision of the Clinic Administrator
  • Performs and records quality control checks on specific medical equipment, office diagnostic tests following established protocol as directed
  • Maintains patient confidentiality
  • Maintains a neat and orderly clinical work area
  • Observes policies, procedures, and safety practices
  • Follows customer service guidelines and protocols
  • Provides other related duties as assigned by Clinic Administrator

Qualifications and Job Info

  • Minimum 1-2 years previous clinical experience
  • Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant Program
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Current and valid CPR card
