Social Worker - Acute - (SW - Acute)
StartDate: 11/16/2020Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $1450.00 - 1900.00

BSW with 5 years experience, 2+ years hospital case management experience preferred. MSW with 5 years of experience, 2 years experience in hospital case management. Required BSW or MSW. The Inpatient Social Worker provides a variety of professional services for patients and families helping them cope with illness, disability, end-of-life, or compliance with treatment plans. The inpatient social worker participates with the interdisciplinary team of attending physicians, nurses, dietitians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists. The social worker also completes thorough assessments of the patient's biopsychosocial situation and provides a vital role in developing a safe and appropriate plan of care. The inpatient social worker serves as an advocate for the patient and family throughout their entire acute and chronic episodes of care. Inpatient social workers assist patients applying for disability while they are in the hospital or give them resource information to start the application process for disability. Inpatient social workers focus on goal setting to establish compliance with treatment plans and overcome barriers prohibiting the appropriate level of treatment. The inpatient Social Worker helps patients learn how to cope with chronic illnesses as well as new diagnoses. The inpatient social worker assists with providing support, education, and resources for patients and families that need to learn how to adjust to the changes that come with chronic illnesses as well as acute illness. COVID-19 -Until further notice New out of state travelers will be required to be swabbed for COVID-19 and will be required to self-quarantine (unpaid) until the results are back negative. Once onsite they will need to fill out the COVID-19 monitoring form for 14 days. Please email the facility through the Medefis System, the date the traveler will arrive in Helena, and their DOB, so that appropriate swab testing can be ordered/setup. Instructions on where to go for the swab will be included with the first day instructions after credentialing is complete. DO NOT allow the traveler to attempt to set this up on their own. Facility reserves the right to call off up to 3 shift during any 13 week assignment for low census without being subjected to guaranteed hours for the week.
