Provides scrub assistance during procedures and performs float duties as assigned. Sets exposure parameters on fixed and mobile angiography equipment practicing ALARA by setting correct imaging protocols. Correctly prepare for procedures by entering patient demographic in imaging equipment, correct inventory setup, and having supplemental inventory available. Correctly post process images (re-masking, pixel shifting, 3-D reconstructions, etc.) and ensure they are sent to PACS in a timely fashion. Basic understanding of imaging techniques, protocols, and ability to prepare for ancillary equipment setup. (IVUS, US, EKOS, JETI, ANGIO JET, etc.) Ability to efficiently operate ancillary equipment (Measuring diameter, cross sectional area, etc.) and ability to complete quality post processing of images and information on all ancillary equipment. (IVUS, US, etc.) Performs routine cleaning of procedural area and equipment. Verifies and completes all documentation to include Qsight and EPIC in an accurately and timely fashion. Ability to apply the principles of radiation safety in relation to imaging techniques. Solid understanding of the location of inventory, ensures that inventory is available for cases and keeps staff informed of any product depletion. Understanding the safety requirements of Interventional Radiology procedures. Solid understanding about the anatomy and physiology in relation to the procedures performed. Solid understanding of the procedure indications, disease process involved and treatment options. Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective exchange of information. Ability to recognize the specific age needs of patients. Able to build a trusting and collaborative relationships with colleagues and patients. Understands and applies the principles of CI Care to patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers. Certifications: BLS – Basic Life Support · ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within six (6) months of hire. · RTF – California State Fluoroscopy Permit, written exceptions will be considered in 30 days increment at the discretion of the Director CRT - Certified by the State of California Department of Health Services in Diagnostic Radiology. ARRT RTR – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification Reg. Tech-Radiography. Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Two (2) years of Interventional Radiology progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
