CT TECHNOLOGIST (CT) - ACUTE CARE JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a talented CT Technologist with Acute Care experience to work at an excellent healthcare facility in Rapid City, SD. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your computed tomography skills while advancing your career as a CT. The job will entail acquiring diagnostic images by performing CT scans. You care about patients and take responsibility for their safety and mental and physical comfort. You will prepare and position patients for capture of diagnostic images, operate imaging equipment, and coordinate with physician. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. * Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by physician. * Perform computed tomography scans using designated equipment. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition.
