- Nail Care. One way to relieve sore feet is to keep your nails trimmed and your feet pampered. If you start the day with your feet feeling good, it will most likely take longer for them to start aching after a long shift at work. See, now you have a reason to go get a pedicure!
- Moisturize. If you keep your feet moisturized, it can help alleviate foot pain that is caused by cracked or dry skin on your feet. As an allied travel worker who’s on your feet all day, you’re probably wearing shoes and socks that can cause your feet to sweat in your shoes. This can make funky things happen. - Soak Feet. After your shift, try soaking your feet in warm water so that it relaxes those muscles. Some even suggest soaking sore feet in Epsom Salts for at least 20 minutes to a half-an-hour in the warm water. This is because the salts draw out excess fluids and all that stuff that’s causing your feet to swell and hurt.
- Stop Smoking. Now, we know you may not want to hear this, but if you’re a smoker, know that smoking can actually trigger foot pain because it slows your blood circulation. So, consider skipping that after work cigarette.
